Pink Sands invites you to a three-day wellness retreat to enliven the soul, relax the mind, and nourish the body, featuring Lauren Cobb and Deidre Ferenc, Chef Dean Max, and Chef David Goette will create a custom menu of seasonal meals and refreshments to complement the wellness journey.

Certified Nutrition and Fitness Coach

Deidre Ferenc is a Certified Nutrition and Fitness Coach who has spent over seven years helping women build stronger bodies and healthier habits through balanced nutrition, mindful movement, and sustainable routines. She also teaches group fitness classes at Powerhouse Gym in Fort Lauderdale and brings her signature energy and encouragement to every workout.

As a breast cancer survivor, Deidre knows firsthand the importance of caring for your body and prioritizing wellness at every stage of life. She’s passionate about empowering women to feel confident, capable, and strong—both physically and mentally.

When she’s not coaching or teaching, you’ll find her walking her two golden doodles Tanner and Tally, lifting weights, catching beach sunrises, or traveling with her husband and two teenagers.

Yoga + Pilates Instructor

A natural teacher and purveyor of positive energy, Lauren Cobb is known for creating dynamic, inspiring classes that challenge the body while uplifting the spirit. Blending the strength and precision of Pilates with the mindful flow of yoga, her classes offer a powerful balance of movement, music, and motivation.

A dedicated yoga practitioner for over a decade, Lauren completed her yoga teacher certification in 2008 and her mat Pilates certification in 2025, deepening her commitment to helping students feel strong, confident, and connected—on and off the mat.

Lauren currently teaches at SOL Yoga in South Florida, where her creative sequencing and intentional playlists encourage students to find freedom through mindful movement. She believes in fearlessly pursuing what sets your soul on fire, taking the leap, and trusting the process.

When she’s not teaching or practicing, you can find her by the pool, on the boat, or spending time with her husband and two children in sunny South Florida.

EXECUTIVE CHEF, PINK SANDS RESORT

David Goette is the Executive Chef at Pink Sands Resort on Harbour Island in the Bahamas. In his day-to-day role he curates the resort’s menus and seasonal specials for the renowned Malcolm51 and Blue Bar & Kitchen dining establishments and oversees all food and beverage operations.

Chef Goette is a seasoned fine dining and performance-driven chef, bringing expertise and extensive experience to Pink Sands Resort derived from catering to luxury hotels and resorts, high-net-worth individuals, international dignitaries/presidents, celebrities, royalty, and business elite.

Owner DJM Restaurants

Chef Dean James Max is the chef owner of DJM Restaurants which specializes in farm to table food and beverage concepts. Chef Max has been in the food industry all his life where he started on his families small produce farm learning to grow vegetables at a young age, then getting his degree in business marketing, and after studying in Florence, Italy to return to a culinary internship with Ritz Carlton. Over the last 30 years, he has opened dozens of restaurants concepts and won all kinds of culinary awards from James Beard best chef nominations, to King of American Seafood, and wrote two cookbooks in the down time. Chef Max has produced an entourage of culinary masters who came up under him and lives proud in his legacy of culinary development of F&W Magazine Best chef winners, Top chef winners, Hells Kitchen finalists, and successful restaurant leaders.
