The bride and the groom must collect in person the Bahamian marriage license at least two business days prior to the ceremony (we will make arrangements with the Commissioner for an appointment).
Applicants must present the following documentation to the Commissioner:
All documentation must be originals (or certified copies) and in English.
- Passports
- Divorce decree (if applicable)
- Death Certificate of former spouse (if applicable)
- Proof if your name has been changed by deed poll
- Certified Birth Certificate
The ceremony itself usually takes place during the afternoon before sunset. The Commissioner or Reverend will come to Resort and hold the ceremony in a place selected by the couple, (i.e. on the beach in front of the resort, we will set up chairs and signing table). In the absence of friends or relatives, two Resort staff members will act as witnesses.
Upon selecting the menu we will set up on the porch of the Blue Bar ( weather permitting) or inside in case of rain.
We can do a consumption bar (beverages are accounted as we serve them and billed to you afterwards) or you can have an open bar at $ 30/person/hour (incl. mixed drinks, prime liquors with house wines and house champagne)
Food and beverages are subject to an additional 15% service charge.
We have an iPod with a large selection of music (free of charge), you can also bring your own or choose to have a band/DJ ( at a fee).
The exclusive use of the Blue Bar is for a 4 hrs function and has to end by 11pm sharp.
